After suffering with an arthritic hip for upto five years and not being able to walk more than 100 yards before having to stop with pain and not able to work properly I had a total right hip replacement carried out at the Spire Sussex Hospital by Mr Simon Pearce in Dec 2018. Mr Pearce was so nice and explained the whole procedure beforehand in a way that put me at ease. The whole experience from first consultation and preassessment through operation to discharge was better than I could have imagined. I think Mr Pearce and his team, the physiotherapy team and all the staff at the Spire Sussex were exceptional and I would like to thank everyone for their care during my stay. I was very impressed with Simon Pearce the moment we met, he was kind and attentive and treated me as if I was someone he had known for a long time. We addressed one another by our Christian names, which I am more comfortable with and much prefer. He explained fully the procedure for my right hip replacement and the operation went perfectly smoothly. I was back driving three weeks later and continued Indoor Bowling inside four weeks. Thanks to Simon and his team, the whole procedure was an outstanding success and I will be requesting Simon to replace my left hip when necessary.
